Free Flag Football with NFL Stars & Celebrities at Samohi:

Football fans will get an up-close look at NFL stars of the past, present and future when the NFL PLAYERS Premiere League Flag Football Tournament and Skills Challenge kicks off Sunday, May 23, at Santa Monica High School from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event, free of charge and open to the public, is the culmination of the annual NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere weekend in Los Angeles. Among those taking part are dozens of stars of film, television, and music, NFL legends, current players and several top selections in the 2010 NFL Draft.

The event is an opportunity for fans to “take the helmets” off the NFL stars of the past present, and future. NFL legends competing include former Super Bowl champions Roger Craig, Willie Gault, Andre Rison, Ricky Watters and Willie McGinest who joins fellow USC alum and NY Giants star Jason Sehorn, plus Raghib “Rocket” Ismail and many more. Several top NFL Rookies will be on hand to meet fans and serve as coaches and commentators as part of NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere weekend. Celebrities include Dean Cain, Michael B. Jordan (Friday Night Lights), Wood Harris (Remember the Titans), Geoff Stults (Happy Town), Arlen Escarpeta (We Are Marshall), Josh Hutcherson (Bridge to Terabithia), Columbus Short (Death at a Funeral) among others.

The competitions, produced by Entertainment League Productions, feature four flag football teams comprised of three NFL legends and five celebrities, with NFL Rookies and other legends weighing in with commentary and coaching. Additionally, fans can watch as each participant competes in the Skills Challenge, which tests agility, accuracy and hand coordination.
