John Travolta’s Stolen Vintage Mercedes Still Missing; Santa Monica Detectives Ask For Public Help:

A brown 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SL - similar to the one stolen owned by John Travolta.

Santa Monica detectives are still on the search for John Travolta’s 1970 Mercedes 280SL that was stolen in Santa Monica last Sunday afternoon.

On Sept. 18 at about 3:46 p.m., Santa Monica Police responded to the 1400 block of Berkeley Street regarding a call of a grand theft of an automobile.

Upon arrival, officers met with the registered owner, Mr. John Travolta.

Mr. Travolta advised officers that he legally parked his brown vintage Mercedes convertible in the 1400 block of Berkeley.

The vehicle’s top was down and Mr. Travolta had the keys with him.

Upon returning to the location approximately ten minutes later, he discovered the vehicle had been stolen.

The vehicle’s license plate is 3RBZ737.
