‘NAMIWALKS: Changing Minds One Step at a Time’ In Santa Monica Saturday Morning:

The eighth annual “NAMIWALKS: Changing Minds One Step at a Time” 5K (3.1 mile) walk will be held in Santa Monica tomorrow morning, Saturday Oct. 1.

The walk is hosted by the National Alliance for Mental Illness with proceeds to benefit Los Angeles County affiliates that offer support programs of education, research and advocacy for those suffering from mental illnesses.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the corner of Third Street Promenade and Santa Monica Blvd.

The walk begins at 10 a.m.
