The new Mobile Medical Unit was introduced on Monday night at Santa Monica’s Westside Family Health Center.
The unit contains two exam rooms and vaccinations on wheels. The idea was developed two years ago to provide medical care to those who don’t have health insurance.
The staff aboard the unit will consist of a clinician, health educator and phlebotomist among others and will travel to different parts throughout Los Angeles.
