The Santa Monica College Music Department is presenting an eclectic mix of concerts throughout October, and today, Oct. 23, will feature the SMC Wind Ensemble at 4 p.m. conducted by Kevin McKeown.
The performance will be held at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. Highlights include Frank Ticheli’s “Blue Shades”, in celebration of the renowned work’s 15th anniversary.
The Santa Monica College Wind Ensemble is a community oriented organization.
The group includes SMC students, some advanced placement high school students, and many adult musicians from the community.
