Cops Identify Santa Monica Chase Bank Robbery Suspect:

David Michael Cardwell is the suspect in the Chase Bank robbery

Santa Monica detectives have identified David Michael Cardwell as the suspect involved in the Chase Bank robbery at 1333 4th St. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012. Cardwell is still at large.

The 47-year-old is described as African American, 5’10”, 195 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to Chase Bank located at 1333 4th Street regarding a report of a robbery at about 1:25 p.m. on Jan. 17.

Witnesses reported that a suspect had entered the bank, approached a teller and demanded money by way of a demand note. After receiving cash from the teller, the suspect fled the location on foot.
