The Santa Monica Police Department’s Downtown Substation located in Parking Structure #6, which is located at 1431 2nd Street, will be closed this Friday, Jan. 13, due to upcoming demolition and rebuilding of the parking structure.
Although the substation is closing, SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said police service in the Downtown area will remain the same.
“Police Officers and Downtown Service Officers will continue to patrol the Downtown area on foot and on bicycles,” Lewis said.
“Anyone who needs to file a report or obtain assistance with a non-emergency issue should call 310.458.8491 or visit the Santa Monica Police Department’s Public Safety Facility located at 333 Olympic Drive, Santa Monica.”
For emergencies, and to report suspicious activity or a crime in progress, the public should call 911.
