About 600 bowlers from Santa Monica representing various businesses, social service agencies, and local government departments came together at the AMF Bay Share Lanes on Pico Blvd. last Friday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Super Bowl-A-Thon XVI.

Proceeds from event will go to the Westside Shelter & Hunger Coalition’s efforts to strengthen services to homeless and at-risk men, women and families through education, advocacy, and service coordination.

“This is a wonderful event for a great cause and we are pleased to have the widespread participation and support of the business community,” said Lynne Thomas of The Lobster, who co-chaired a committee of volunteers producing SBAT XVI.
