Santa Monica Airport Commission Cancels Its Monday Meeting:

A plan to pay SMO flight schools to practice repetitive takeoffs and landings at another location will head straight to Council Council next Tuesday after the Airport Commission cancelled its Monday meeting.

The Santa Monica Airport Commission has canceled its meeting this Monday, June 25, which was supposed to discuss a plan to pay SMO flight schools to practice repetitive takeoffs and landings at another location.

Instead, the plan will go straight to City Council this Tuesday, June 26, at City Hall without any recommendation from the Airport Commission.

Monday’s meeting was canceled because the minimum number of Commissioners required to hold the meeting was not possible.

The next regular meeting of the Santa Monica Airport Commission will be July 23.
