Mayor Richard Bloom Holds Tight Lead Of 103 Votes In 50th Assembly District Race:

Richard Bloom holds a narrow victory over Betsy Butler after 100 percent of precincts were counted as part of the Nov. 6 election.

Updated Tuesday, Nov. 13 – 9 a.m.

Santa Monica Mayor Richard Bloom is still clenching onto a tight lead in the race for the 50th Assembly District.

According to reporting as of Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6:34 a.m., Bloom leads incumbent Betsy Butler by 103 votes.

Bloom has 71,192 votes (50.0 percent) to Butler’s 71,089 votes (50.0 percent).

A new district, the 50th Assembly represents Agoura Hills, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, Malibu, Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Topanga, West Hollywood, and Westlake Village. In all, there are 80 assembly districts in California.

Both Bloom and Butler are democrats.
