The Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office today charged Lindsay Lohan with a string of misdemeanors stemming from her June 8 traffic collision on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica.
The accident involved a large dump track and a black Porsche that was occupied by Lohan and an adult male.
SMPD Sgt. Richard Lewis said investigators from the department’s Traffic Investigation Unit were assigned to follow up on the collision.
“During the subsequent investigation, information was developed that Lohan was the driver of the Porsche when the accident occurred,” Lewis said. “The investigation was completed and the case was presented to the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office for a filing consideration.
Today, the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office charged Lohan with the following charges that are all misdemeanors:
— Penal Code section 148(a)(1) (willfully resist, obstruct or delay an officer in the course of their duties)
— California Vehicle Code section 31 (false Information to a peace officer)
— California Vehicle Code section 23103 (reckless driving)
Lewis said a court date has not been set at this time.
