A Santa Monica woman was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 6 on a domestic violence charge after admitting to police she assaulted her husband in the drive-thru of the Jack In The Box restaurant at 802 Santa Monica Boulevard.
At 12:34 a.m. officers of the Santa Monica Police Department received a radio call informing them of a domestic violence incident that had occurred and that both the suspect and victim were currently present at the Public Safety Facility at 333 Olympic Drive.
Officers detained both of these people and spoke with them. The victim (husband) told the officers that he had been married to the suspect for one year and that they do nothing but argue with each other.
He continued to say that they had been having an argument when they were in the drive-thru of the Jack In The Box when the suspect hit him in the face with her left arm.
The wife was wearing a large metal bracelet when she did this and so this attack resulted in several cuts to the husband’s lip.
The husband drove straight out of the drive-thru and directly to the Santa Monica Police Station, whereupon he reported the incident.
The suspect agreed with her husband when asked about the incident and so the officers arrested her for domestic violence.
Her husband was treated by Santa Monica Fire Department Paramedics and released at the scene. Bail was set at $50,000.
