Macular Degeneration Support Group Meeting Set For April 9 In Santa Monica:

If you have age-related macular degeneration (AMD), or know someone who does, a monthly support group in Santa Monica may be for you.

Sponsored by the Santa Monica Lions Club, this monthly support group is produced by the nonprofit Macular Degeneration Partnership.

Attendees will hear experts talk about the disease, treatments, research, and how to control  risk factors and slow the progression.

Hands on demonstrations of helpful devices and presentations by low vision specialists and community resources.

The next meeting is scheduled for April 9 from 10:30 am – 12 pm. It will be held at the Santa Monica Public Library (Community Room), 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, Santa Monica.

All services are free but space is limited, call to register at 310.623.4466.
