Rosamund Felsen Gallery opened an exhibition Saturday featuring the work of Nancy Jackson, which is on show through April 27.
Jackson’s work has explored, among other things, the primeval beginnings and evolving nature of human consciousness and perpetual growth into the future.
Her current work continues along these lines by looking at a sense of ourselves as being familiar, as aliens who travel throughout and inhabit outer space, and as embodied mystics who travel with our known space.
This exhibition will include new paintings, sculptures, and two installations, one is a nine piece symmetrical installation, “Introducing Shagman,” the other is a five piece work, “Photo OP,” in which visitors are invited to photograph themselves using their own devices.
Rosamund Felsen Gallery is located at 2525 Michigan Avenue, B4 (Bergamot Station), Santa Monica.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm.
