A ceremony will be held today to celebrate the return of the American flag atop the Real Office Center building (Google’s old office) at 604 Arizona Avenue in Santa Monica.
Local resident and founder/CEO of Homeland Advisory Group, Josh Bashioum organized today’s flag-raising event at 4:30 pm.
He said he noticed the flag had been missing since Google moved out.
As a volunteer CERT instructor with Burbank Fire Department, he knew just who to call, their friends at Santa Monica Fire Department, who will take part in the ceremony.
Bashioum said he purchased the flag, rigging, and hardware for the event.
“My company, among many other start-ups here, are working hard raising money and creating jobs, a true American dream,” Bashioum said. “Since we’re planning to open office space at the epicenter, Real Office Centers, I decided to see what I could do to replace the very symbol of the entrepreneurial spirit.”
Homeland Advisory Group is a technology startup that offers online emergency planning and training platform for organizations.
