The Santa Monica Museum of Art presents three summer exhibitions with an opening reception tonight.

In the Museum’s Main Gallery is Joyce Pensato’s “I KILLED KENNY,” in Project Room 1 “Park Studio: Skaters and Makers,” and in Project Room 2 is Marco Rios’ “Anatomy of an Absent Artist.”

With these groundbreaking exhibitions, SMMoA continues to challenge expectations, presenting the work of dynamic and compelling artists worthy of further inquiry who explore Los Angeles’ vibrant culture such as Pensato through cartoons, Rios through Hollywood and film noir, and the student participants of SMMoA’s acclaimed Park Studio program through contemporary skate culture.
