Santa Monica College Candlelight Vigil Tonight On Main Campus At 6 pm:

Students at Santa Monica College on Monday begin to gather around the spot where an elderly woman named Margarita Gomez was killed outside the Santa Monica College Library Friday afternoon.

Members of the Santa Monica College Community will host a Candlelight Vigil today, June 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm.

The vigil will start outside the SMC Library at 6 pm and proceed to Corsair Field at 1900 Pico Boulevard due to the anticipated number of people.

As the field is artificial and the track is rubberized, open flames (candles) will not be permitted. However, battery operated candles will be permitted.
