Motorist Killed In Fiery Car Crash On 10 Freeway In Santa Monica:

A fiery car collision claimed one life on the 10 Freeway Saturday morning in Santa Monica, according to authorities and news reports.

A 2001 Ford Mustang was reportedly speeding on the Santa Monica Freeway before crashing just after 1:30 am. 

The crash happened in the westbound 10 Freeway lanes approaching the McClure Tunnel.

News reports indicate two passengers in the vehicle managed to escape, but the driver was trapped and killed by the fire.

Authorities also stated two other vehicles collided into the Ford Mustang.

The identity of the one fatality was not yet released by the L.A. County Coroner.
