Season Ends For St. Monica Mariners Football: Mariners fall to Rio Honda Prep

The St. Monica football had its season end in the first round of the CIF playoffs, falling to defending champ Rio Honda Prep,  by the score of 62-28.

The Mariners had lost four games in a row before going up against the same team that ousted them from last year’s postseason run.

Last year, Rio Honda Prep bumped St. Monica out of the playoffs after the Mariners had made a deep pushh in the postseason.

This year was a quick exit for the Mariners, which finished the season with a 3-8 record.

The last win the Mariners had was early last month against Bellarmine-Jefferson. St. Monica went 1-3 in the Santa Fe League this season.
