This Saturday, more than 30 Santa Monica bars and restaurants will open their doors to thousands of revelers taking part in the 5th Annual SANTA Monica Pub Crawl.
This year’s event will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, starting at 5 pm.
In 2012, more than 5,000 crawlers celebrated the season at the city’s most cherished holiday event by filling the streets as joyous Santas, reindeer and elves, and raised enough money for 120,000 meals through a partnership with the Westside Food Bank.
Participating bars on Wilshire, Main Street, the Santa Monica Pier, and the Third Street Promenade, will offer crawlers food and drink specials as part of the festivities.
In order to participate, crawlers must purchase a wristband, which allows them access to food and drink specials at each location.
There will also be a five-year anniversary Official After Party with music, dancing, a photo booth, contests and more fun festivities, and the location will be announced the night of the crawl.
The pub crawl includes special offerings from businesses like Joe’s Pizza and the Border Grill Food Truck.
Some food and drink specials include $4 beers at Areal, two for $5 steak tacos at Rusty’s Surf Ranch, half off appetizers and $3 holiday shooters at Hooters of Santa Monica, $5 whiskey shots at O’Brien’s Pub on Wilshire and more.
SANTA Monica Pub Crawl participants are encouraged to dress in Santa/holiday attire so the streets of Santa Monica are filled with merry cheer.
An Instagram contest will award the crawler(s) with the most impressive holiday gear with a special prize, so festive dress is highly recommended.
Tickets are $10 for the official pub crawl wristband and are available at www.santamonicapubcrawl.com.
Crawlers can download the official “SM Pub Crawl” app for a complete list of bars, routes, specials, map, bus stops and updates, or visit the SMPC website listed above.
