Lincoln Middle School Presents Performances Of “Peter Pan” This Weekend:

Jim Hart writer of Steven Spielberg directed 'Hook' visited with the kids in the fall to discuss the nuances of Peter Pan and returned to see the kids during dress rehearsal on Tuesday.

Lincoln Middle School Theatre presents a punk rock modern staging of the classic musical “Peter Pan” this weekend.

This production will run shows on Jan. 24, 25, and 26 at the Lincoln Middle School Auditorium in Santa Monica.

With a cast and crew comprised of talented Lincoln Middle School students, the young actors involved have been rehearsing twice a week since September, as well as attending workshops by performers who were formerly on Broadway or part of prestigious theatrical companies such as Cirque du Soleil and “Stomp.”   

This production of Peter Pan is set in London in the late 70’s, just as the punk rock scene was burgeoning.

The show times are:        

— Friday, Jan. 24 – 7 pm show

— Saturday, Jan. 25 – shows at 2 pm & 7 pm

— Sunday, Jan. 26 – 2 pm show

Tickets are $10 adults/ $5 children

It will be held at 1501 California Avenue, Santa Monica.
