The southbound 405 Freeway lanes will close between Santa Monica Boulevard and National Boulevard from midnight to 5 am tonight, March 24 and Tuesday, March 25,
This closure will facilitate the installation of a full-span freeway overhead sign, and the continuation of roadway widening activities at the freeway median.
Lanes will begin to close at 10pm. Ramps will begin to close at 7pm.
The detour will mean southbound motorists will have to exit the 405 Freeway at Santa Monica Boulevard and use Sepulveda Boulevard before reentering the freeway at the southbound 405 Freeway on-ramp at National Boulevard.
The following ramps will close:
— Southbound Santa Monica on-ramp
— Southbound Sunset on-ramps
— Southbound Wilshire on-ramps
— Southbound I-405 to eastbound 10 Freeway connector
— Southbound I-405 to westbound 10 Freeway connector
The Southbound 405 Freeway will be accessible at the National Boulevard on-ramp.
