Lee Marshall, Voice Of “Tony The Tiger” Dies Aged 64 In Santa Monica:

Lee Marshall, the longtime voice of “Tony the Tiger” passed away in Santa Monica Saturday, April 26 due to complications arising from his battle with esophageal cancer.

Known for his decades of work in radio and television, Marshall was a DJ, talk show host, play-by-play announcer and color commentator.

Professional wrestling fans followed his career with several organizations; most notably as a traveling correspondent for the highest-rated cable show of the 1990’s, “WCW Monday Nitro.” He was 64.

The family requests that all people who have a history of acid-reflux and smoking get screened regularly for esophageal cancer.
