Dr. Mao Shing Ni, Chair of the Board of Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, has announced that Lois Green, M.H.S.A. has been appointed as President.
Green will succeed retiring President, Lawrence J. Ryan, PhD.
According to Mary Flaherty, Chair of the Board of Trustees Search Committee, Green emerged as the top candidate from a national pool of applicants. Green earned her Master of Health Services Administration degree from the University of Michigan. As clinical associate professor at the University of Southern California (USC) Price School of Public Policy, she gained extensive experience in administration of the School’s health policy and management degree programs, student and faculty affairs, and curriculum development.
While at USC, Green spearheaded the creation and successful launch of the Executive Master of Health Administration degree program. She has also taught at UCLA, UC Irvine and UC San Francisco. Green has earned significant competitive grant funding and maintains a USC research affiliation. She has held senior management positions in two large Southern California health systems and is a long-standing advocate for the integration of Western and Traditional Chinese medicines.
Founded in 1989 and celebrating its 25th anniversary of excellence, Yo San University is an accredited not-for-profit higher education institution conferring both masters and doctoral degrees.
Located in the Venice/Marina Del Rey area of Los Angeles, the University serves 220 degree candidates and provides over 20,000 free or low cost acupuncture treatments per year.
