Sheriff’s Department Seek Public’s Help Locating Missing Elderly Malibu Man:

The sheriff’s department asked for the public’s help today in locating a 73-year-old man who was last seen in Reseda Friday and who might be trying to get home to the Malibu area.

Vernon John Maas was last seen Friday on Strathern Street in Reseda, said Lt. Michael Williams of the sheriff’s Malibu/Los Hills Station.

“Mr. Maas uses a walker and may be confused,” Williams said.

Maas is described as 5’8″, 195 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. He lives in the Malibu/Lost Hills area, the lieutenant said.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Maas was asked to contact the Malibu/Los Hills Sheriff’s Station at 818.878.1808.
