“Gone Girl” was the most-popular movie in North America again this weekend, as three debuts made it to the top five draws at the box office.
“Gone Girl” was on track to sell $26.8 million in tickets, according to studio estimates gathered by Rentrak, a Hollywood industry data analysis firm. It opened as number one last weekend.
“Dracula Untold” opened in second place, with $23.5 million in estimated sales.
“Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” opened in third place with $19.1 million in estimated sales.
“Annabelle,” in its second week of exhibition, was predicted to take in $16.4 million this weekend.
“The Judge” opened in fifth place with $13.3 million in estimated sales.
