For 49th Day, Los Angeles County Gasoline Price Continues To Drop:

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today to its lowest amount since Dec. 3, 2010, decreasing 1.3 cents to $3.167.

The average price has decreased 49 consecutive days and 72 of the past 73, dropping 66.1 cents over that span, including 1 cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 6.7 cents less than one week ago, 36.6 cents lower than one month ago and 42.7 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped 1.5 cents today to $3.116, its lowest amount since Nov. 12, 2010. It has decreased 17 consecutive days and 47 of the past 48, dropping 56.6 cents over that span, including 1.2 cents on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 7 cents less than one week ago, 39.8 cents lower than one month ago and 45.3 cents below what it was one year ago.
