3.9 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes South Of San Pedro, Felt In Venice:

A magnitude-3.9 earthquake struck today 12 miles south of San Pedro, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The quake struck at 3:26 p.m. 14 miles south-southeast of Rancho Palos Verdes and 15 miles south-southwest of Long Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The temblor was felt throughout the South Bay and as far north as Venice.
