The Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers are back to celebrate the holidays at three free community events this weekend.
The Rockers have performed together for more than 10 years and have been a crowd pleaser at many Santa Monica events.
The Rockers will be performing again this year at Montana’s Holiday Walk today, Dec. 5. The zany group will be strolling up and down the street in festive costumes spreading holiday spirit.
The event runs from 6th street to 17th street from 5 pm to 9 pm. Many stores are participating with exclusive events.
This Saturday, the Main Street holiday celebration will take place from 6 pm to 9 pm. The event begins with a Christmas tree lighting at Ocean Park and Main (the site of the Sunday Santa Monica Farmers Market) followed by a candlelight walk to the Shopping Cart Christmas Tree at the Edgemar courtyard (by Ben & Jerry’s and Peet’s Coffee), designed by Santa Monica artist Anthony Schmitt.
Here the Rockers will sing a short set (six songs) before they move on down Main Street. Most of the stores on Main Street will stay open and the Rockers will stop in to perform holiday classics.
There will be one more chance to see this popular holiday group, Sunday on Abbot Kinney Blvd. in Venice.
The famed street will host a holiday Family Fun Day event complete with real snow in the parking lot of the Brigg, 1515 Abbot Kinney, off Palms.
Just up the street on the west side of Abbot Kinney, the Rockers are set to perform at Tumbleweed and Dandelion at 3 pm.
This charming shop is located at 1502 Abbot Kinney Blvd, Venice.
The Off Their Jingle Bell Rockers are not your typical holiday group. Yes they happen to be terrific singers, but they also dress incredibly flamboyant, and have an amazing amount of energy, which makes for a truly fun and lively show.
