A grenade that washed onto the shore of Paradise Cove in Malibu was recovered by a bomb squad Wednesday, authorities said.
At about 1:30 p.m., the bomb squad removed the device from the beach, but it’s unclear what kind of grenade it was, said. Sgt. Wright of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Malibu Lost Hills Station.
“Obviously it was safe enough to take away,” he said.
It’s unclear where the grenade came from and additional information was not available at this time.
