Free Emergency Preparedness Training For Santa Monica Businesses:

The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, the City of Santa Monica, and Joffe Emergency Services are holding a one day emergency preparedness workshop for local businesses on Tuesday May 19.

Topics will include general emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, triage and first aid exercises, earthquake search and rescue response, active shooter in the workplace prevention, and disaster communication planning.

Demand for this event far surpassed our expectations and the training reached its capacity of 60 in the first day. Santa Monica businesses and other local organizations from the public and non-profit sectors are enrolled.

The trainings will be conducted by members of the City of Santa Monica’s Office of Emergency Management, Santa Monica Fire Department, Santa Monica Police Department and Joffe Emergency Services.

The program will run from 8:30-4 pm on Tuesday, May 19. The event will be located at the Santa Monica Human Resources Training Room, 330 Olympic Drive, Santa Monica.
