Ed Begley Jr. to be Special Guest Speaker at June 19 Activist Support Circle

Ed Begley
Ed Begley Jr., the talented actor and dedicated environmentalist, will be the special guest speaker at the Monday, June 19 Activist Support Circle starting6:00pm at the UnUrban Coffee House located at 3301 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica 90405.
The Activist Support Circle is an open ongoing monthly support group for progressive activists that began in 2005 to help guard against activist burnout and offer emotional support to activists in their vital and courageous work.
As environmental issues become more pressing, there are two possible responses:
1. Forget them, and hope that government and corporations will figure things out, or
2. Take action yourself.
In the “take action yourself” camp, a few individuals are leading the way. One such person in California is Ed Begley Jr. (www.edbegley.com).
Turning up at Hollywood events on his bicycle, Ed has been considered an environmental leader in the Hollywood community for many years. He serves on the boards of Green Wish, the Coalition for Clean Air, the Thoreau Institute and the advisory board of the Union Of Concerned Scientists. He’s also active with many other organizations.
The Activist Support Circle event is free. Free parking is available at the U.S. Bank Parking lot across the street from the UnUrban Coffee House.
