Homeless Man Killed by Expo Line Train

A homeless man was killed by an Expo Line train in Santa Monica Sunday, police say.

Around 6 a.m. Sunday a westbound Expo Line train struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Colorado Avenue, according to the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD).

The Santa Monica Fire Department responded to the scene along with SMPD officers. The victim, described by police as a homeless man in his 50’s, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The incident is under investigation by the SMPD.
