Santa Monica Restaurants Offer Valentine’s Day Specials

Birdie G’s, Rustic Canyon and Huckleberry Have Your Valentine’s Day Needs Covered

A number of restaurants in Santa Monica have Valentine’s Day specials on the menu. Here’s a few of them for your Valentine’s Day planning needs, but don’t worry, they have options for singles too: 

Birdie G’s offers a heat and serve Valentine’s Day Menu available on Tock for either pick up or delivery on the day of romance which costs $89 per person. You can even order one dinner if you are going solo this year. 

The menu includes four courses:

First course: Lavender Almonds

Second Course: Badger Flame Beets and Smoked Trout Roe & Deli Flavors or Birdie’s Caesar: ACG & Egg Yolk Bottarga or Peas & Pecorino 2022: Pecorino Brûlée, Shallot & Salted Black Peppercorns.

Third Course: Koji-Marinated Prime Hanger Steak with Leeks & Black Garlic or Jeremiah’s Spiced Half Chicken with sweet potatoes & gooseberry sauce.

Fourth Course: World Famous Rose Petal Pie or Malted Chocolate Layer Cake.

You can add on bottles of red, white or rose wine or champagne and/or two cocktails: Eros Arrow made of Mezcal, Anejo tequila, ancho liqueur, passionfruit, wildflower honey, lime and/or Oh My Darling made of Starkeeper clementine gin, Cointreau, Carpano Bianco, Xocolatl mole bitters, orange bitters. Wine prices vary from $28 to $55 and the cocktails cost between $30 and $44. The restaurant’s sommelier Chloe will select the wine based on your dinner order. You can also order a Malted Chocolate Layer Cake, if all you need is dessert, however the World Famous Rose Petal Pie has sold out as a stand alone item. 

At Huckleberry, Pastry Chef Laurel Almerinda and team are baking up all sorts of themed and seasonal sweets for the holiday. Pre-order a Valentine’s Day Cookie Kit featuring strawberry icing & plant-based decorations for $20 (great option for families with children) or a Box of 2 Chocolate Strawberry Tarts for $15 via Tock or by calling 310-451-2311, with at least 24 hours’ notice. Pickup is available until February 14.

At Rustic Canyon, You can swing by on Sunday, February 13 from 9:00 a.m. to noon and Tiffani Ortiz from Novella Curio will be hosting a Valentine’s Day Bazaar on their back patio featuring only women artisans. Stock up on gifts for your sweetie, like Pastry Chef Erika Chan’s Boxes of Valentine’s Macarons for $35-45 with flavors like lovage chocolate and “heart” beet, Novella Curio’s fresh & dry florals, organic candles & beauty products, Resonating Earth’s herbal teas & tinctures, and Mette Lampcov’s unique stoneware & porcelain ceramics if you need some gifts. Macarons and flowers can be pre-ordered through Novella Curio’s website here for pickup at the bazaar.

On Monday, February 14, Chef Andy Doubrava and team are serving a 7 course tasting menu that celebrates the seasons. The menu includes a takeaway gift and is priced at $125 per person. Highlights at this Michelin-starred restaurant include a dish with red fruits & pink chicories, a duck course, caviar, a beet crepe dessert and petits fours with specialty cocktails and a $70 wine pairing. Reservations are available now via Resy. For singles and friends, there’s a fun á la carte menu available in the bar and lounge featuring a fried chicken sandwich and drumstick ice cream cones. For those who prefer to celebrate at home, there’s also an á la carte option for takeout, which can be ordered by calling 310-393-7050 or online.
