Bread & Porridge closes after over 25 years

By Dolores Quintana

Bread & Porridge has called it quits in Santa Monica.

This popular breakfast spot formerly located at 2315 Wilshire has ceased business as reported by food blog Toddrickallen

The restaurant has been in business since 1994 and has developed devoted fanbase in the neighborhood over the years. Toddrickallen noticed a sign in their window that said that the business was taking a temporary break from operations about a month ago. Recently, a new sign indicated the property was now for lease.

While checking out the Bread & Porridge online presence, we noticed that the restaurant’s website was no longer available and that on their Single Platform online ordering form the restaurant left a note that says, “Bread and Porridge has permanently closed. Our great customers were an important part of our success since we opened in 1994. Thank you all.” The owners have decided to close their restaurant but they made sure to let their customers know that they appreciate their patronage over the many years that they have been open.
