SMMUSD Board Meeting Limited to In-Person Public Comment

Officials cite technical issues

For the upcoming Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education meeting, public comment must be done in-person as opposed to via Zoom.

At closed session meeting on Thursday, February 2, 2023, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education will begin at 4 p.m rather than the scheduled 4:30 p.m. Open session will start at its regular 5:30 p.m. This change provides the Board with additional time to consider their matters in closed session.

Due to technical issues, there will not be a Zoom component for this meeting and members of the public wishing to make comments must attend in person and fill out a Public Speaking card. This is only a temporary measure and SMMUSD aims to return to hybrid meetings providing for Zoom public comments as soon as possible.

The meeting will be live-streamed to the SMUSD YouTube channel:

The agenda for this meeting will be posted on the District website:
