Montana Avenue’s Horchata Mexican Food & Bakery Closing

Popular restaurant and bakery closing April 28

By Sam Catanzaro

Popular Montana Avenue restaurant Horchata Mexican Food & Bakery will be vacating their space of nearly a decade at the end of the month.

Located at 804 Montana Avenue in the space of Panda Express, Horchata’s wide-ranging menu includes everything from tacos, burritos and tortas to deli sandwiches, burgers, pastries and baked goods.

The last day of service will be April 28. According to the restaurant, the landlord did not renew their lease on the space they have rented out for the past nine years.

The restaurant says it is currently hoping to reopen in a new location. To stay up to date, follow them on Instagram (@horchatamexfood) or stop by in person before they close to sign a contact sheet they are compiling to provide customers with future updates.
