Featured Artists Hail From the Florida Panhandle and Cleveland, Ohio
“Days Like These,” an exhibition showcasing the latest paintings from acclaimed artists Justin Lyons and Terry Urban, will be hosted by the Bruce Lurie Gallery through the month of May.
Hailing from the Florida panhandle, Justin Lyons brings his unique perspective to the forefront with a collection of self-taught artworks. Inspired by words, phrases, and thoughts, Lyons’s pieces invite viewers to embark on a journey of interpretation, allowing each individual to forge their own connection with the art, as described in a website post from BLG.
Terry Urban’s roots are in Cleveland, Ohio, and his upbringing within a family of Irish American and Cherokee heritage infuses his art with themes of resilience and perseverance, as described by BLG. Drawing inspiration from the indomitable spirit of his hometown, Urban’s works delve into the complexities of the human condition, often exploring dark imagery that reflects the intricacies of the human psyche.
The “Days Like These” exhibition will kick off with an opening reception and a chance to meet the artists on May 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition will be open to the public from May 4 to May 31.For more information, go to https://www.luriegallery.com/events.
