Homeowners recovering from the Palisades Fire and residents seeking to prepare for wildfire-related power outages are invited to attend two separate virtual webinars hosted by local agencies on Tuesday, June 17.
1:00 p.m. – Property Tax Relief Webinar for Fire-Affected Homeowners
The Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office, in partnership with the City of Malibu, will hold a virtual session at 1 p.m. to assist property owners impacted by the Palisades Fire. The webinar will cover available tax relief measures and explain the assessment process during the rebuilding period.

6:00 p.m. – Wildfire Safety and Power Shutoff Preparedness
Later that evening, Southern California Edison (SCE) will host a virtual wildfire safety meeting from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. to address wildfire risks, Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS), and infrastructure upgrades aimed at improving resilience across Southern California.
SCE representatives will discuss:
- When and why PSPS events occur
- How to prepare for outages
- Customer programs and assistance
- Emergency preparedness and support services
- Cost-saving strategies for residents
