Selling Sunset Star Close to Closing $30M Off-Market Deal for Kanye West’s Former Malibu Compound

Amanda Lynn Quietly Flips Kanye’s Abandoned Malibu Bunker

Real estate agent Amanda Lynn, known for her on-screen presence in Selling Sunset Season 8, is making headlines off-camera with a high-profile deal involving a Malibu property once owned by rapper Kanye West, as reported by Us Weekly.

Lynn helped broker a complex off-market transaction for the Tadao Ando–designed beachfront residence, which had previously been purchased by West for $57 million before being gutted and left vacant. The minimalist concrete structure, dubbed an “architectural masterpiece” by fans of the acclaimed Japanese architect, sat in disrepair for months before real estate investment firm Belwood Investments acquired it last August for under $22 million.

With the home in need of substantial restoration, Belwood tasked Lynn, an agent with Nest Seekers International, with securing a buyer. “I had 60 days, but it was more like 30,” Lynn told Us Weekly. “I secured a buyer in under a week with a full-price offer.”

The off-market buyer, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly has a background in large-scale construction and bunker development, making him a uniquely qualified steward of the modernist structure. Lynn described the deal as “very complicated,” but said the sale is scheduled to close imminently.

Despite its unfinished condition, the property ultimately sold for $30 million. Lynn emphasized that the buyer’s restoration plans aim to honor Ando’s original vision, calling the project “a piece of art” that deserves careful preservation. “And the new buyer is the perfect buyer for this house. It’s like a match made in heaven, truly, because he has worked on bunkers, he’s done a lot of construction work, bridges, that’s really what he knows.”
