What to Expect at This Year’s ‘Off the Hook Seafood Festival’ on the Pier

This year’s festival brings together more than 25 restaurants from across Los Angeles, offering tastings of oysters, lobster, shrimp, tuna, sushi, and other dishes

The Off the Hook Seafood Festival will return to the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday, Oct. 19, blending gourmet seafood, live music, and ocean advocacy in celebration of National Seafood Month and the city’s 150th anniversary.

This year’s festival brings together more than 25 restaurants and chefs from across Los Angeles, offering tastings of oysters, lobster, shrimp, tuna, sushi, and other dishes. Participating eateries include Santa Monica standouts such as Blue Plate Oysterette, The Lobster, Michael’s Santa Monica, Killer Shrimp, and SoCalo & Border Grill Catering, among others.

Guests can sip on drinks from an extensive lineup of beverage partners — including Duvel, Dulce Vida Tequila, Hendrick’s, Giesen Wines, and Hampton Water Rosé — while enjoying a Yacht Rock Party featuring live performances from The Windbreakers, who will bring smooth ’70s and ’80s sounds to the pier.

The festival will also feature oyster shucking competitions, interactive games, artisan vendors, ocean-themed photo opportunities, and a Sustainable Seafood VIP Lounge sponsored by Santa Monica Seafood. VIP guests will receive early entry, exclusive tastings from additional chefs, curated cocktails, and a free day pass for unlimited rides at Pacific Park.

General admission tickets, known as Little Fish passes, start at $80, while Big Fish VIP tickets start at $175. All tickets are all-inclusive, covering food, beverages, games, and entertainment.
