Meals on Wheels West LA Urgently Seeks Holiday Volunteers for Meal Deliveries

Brentwood-Based Program Needs Help Delivering Meals During the Holidays

Meals on Wheels West Los Angeles is urgently seeking additional volunteers to help deliver meals during the holiday season, as many regular volunteers are unavailable during this time, organizers said.

The nonprofit operates out of the Village Church at 343 S. Church Lane in Brentwood and delivers meals to residents Monday through Friday, including Christmas Day. The service will not take place on January 1 or January 2.

Volunteer delivery shifts typically run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and organizers said even a single day of service can make a meaningful difference. New volunteers are paired with experienced drivers and are not asked to complete routes on their own.

The organization encouraged participation from adults of all ages, as well as college students home for the holidays. Volunteers may bring a friend or family member to assist.

Those interested in volunteering can contact the Meals on Wheels West LA office at 310-208-4028 or email mealsonwheelswla@gmail.com with their name and phone number. Volunteers may also stop by the office in person to offer assistance.
