LAHSA expects to release preliminary results in late spring or early summer
The 2026 Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is set to begin Jan. 20, with thousands of volunteers canvassing the region over three nights to tally unsheltered individuals.
The annual point-in-time count, organized by the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, covers Los Angeles County except Long Beach, Glendale and Pasadena, which conduct separate tallies. It is the nation’s largest unsheltered count.
Volunteers will deploy starting at 8 p.m. each night from Jan. 20-22.
