Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a parked food truck in October, injuring a 50-year-old woman.
The collision occurred around 12:55 p.m. Oct. 4 on Pico Boulevard near Hayworth Avenue when a white Nissan Pathfinder traveling westbound rear-ended the truck, ejecting one occupant onto the roadway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division.
The driver, described only as a female, fled on foot without identifying herself or providing aid, investigators said.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a hospital in stable condition.
A reward of up to $25,000 is offered for information leading to the driver’s identification, apprehension and conviction or civil compromise through the city’s Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund.
Anyone with information is urged to contact West Traffic detectives at (213) 473-0216. After hours or on weekends, call 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (1-877-527-3247).
