Santa Monica Playhouse to Stage ‘Snow Queen’ Adaptation

The family-oriented show follows a young girl’s journey to overcome the Snow Queen’s power through warmth and heart

The Santa Monica Playhouse will present a production of “The Snow Queen,” based on Evgeny Schwartz’s play adapting Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale, on Jan. 11 at 4:30 p.m.

The family-oriented show follows a young girl’s journey to overcome the Snow Queen’s power through warmth and heart, incorporating elements of adventure, humor and emotion.

Recommended for ages 7 and older, the performance is described as a winter fairy tale.

Tickets range from $35 to $50, with an early bird discount code offering $15 off per ticket through Dec. 10, 2025. Door sales, if available, are $60 cash.
