28-year-old charged with five counts of robbery after five incidents between December and February.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s North Hollywood Division have arrested a man suspected of committing a string of armed robberies against United States Postal Service carriers in Studio City, Valley Village and Sherman Oaks.
Andranik Naghdalyan, 28, was taken into custody Feb. 22 following the fifth reported robbery, during a vehicle stop at Tyrone Street and Hamlin Avenue around 1 p.m. Officers from North Hollywood and Van Nuys divisions recovered evidence linking him to the crimes, police said.
The robberies occurred while postal employees were on duty, with the suspect using a firearm to demand postal keys and electronic scanners. Authorities said he drove a white Lexus sedan in each incident.
The reported cases are:
– Dec. 3, 2025, about 4:40 p.m., 5200 block of Corteen Place, Valley Village
– Jan. 31, 2026, about 11:20 a.m., 4100 block of Whitsett Avenue, Studio City
– Feb. 21, 2026, about 2 p.m., 4800 block of Morella Avenue, Studio City
– Feb. 21, 2026, about 2:23 p.m., 5700 block of Whitsett Avenue, Valley Village
– Feb. 22, 2026, about 12:30 p.m., 5400 block of Ethel Avenue, Sherman Oaks
Naghdalyan was booked on suspicion of robbery. The case remains under investigation.
