Comedian to perform and donate fee at event aiding school recovery from Palisades Fire.
Comedian and former late-night host Jay Leno will headline Palisades Charter High School’s annual “Stand Up for Pali” gala and auction this spring, performing live and donating his full appearance fee back to the school, organizers announced.
The event, set for March 14, aims to raise funds for student programs and activities at the school, which was heavily affected by the wildfire. The fire disrupted campus operations and left many in the school community displaced or facing ongoing recovery challenges.
The gala’s title plays on a double meaning: encouraging supporters to “stand up” for Pali High through donations while featuring professional stand-up comedy. Leno’s involvement marks a major draw for the fundraiser, which has become a key annual event for parents, alumni and community members.
Organizers highlighted the online auction as a central component, offering a range of donated items and experiences—including luxury travel packages, exclusive entertainment and sports outings, premium dining opportunities, and local services—many priced below market value.
