“Tacos and Taxes” Event to Assist LA Residents with Tax Return Preparation

Organizers said the clinic will provide basic tax return preparation for individuals earning less than $69,000 annually.

Assemblymember Isaac Bryan will host a free tax preparation event March 14 in Los Angeles, offering assistance to qualifying residents along with complimentary tacos.

The event, titled “Tacos & Taxes,” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Black Women for Wellness, 4340 11th Ave.

Organizers said the clinic will provide basic tax return preparation for individuals earning less than $69,000 annually. Services will be limited to simple returns, including W-2 and 1099 forms.

Appointments are required, and walk-ins will not be accepted. Residents must register in advance to secure a time slot.

Promotional materials also reference the California Earned Income Tax Credit outreach campaign, known as CalEITC4Me, which encourages eligible taxpayers to claim state and federal credits.

Organizers said the goal of the event is to help working individuals and families access free, reliable tax preparation services while ensuring they receive any refunds or credits for which they qualify.
