Marchese is Selling the Home Following the Opening of RESA’s FIrst Retail Store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard Last Year.
A renovated Venice bungalow once owned by fashion designer Suzanne Marchese has been listed for $1.998 million, according to real estate records and the New York Post.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 1163 Nelrose Ave. spans about 1,288 square feet and sits on a roughly 4,273-square-foot lot. Originally built in 1914, the single-story property has been updated with modern finishes while retaining elements of its early 20th-century bungalow style.
According to the listing, the home features an open living and dining area, a minimalist kitchen, hardwood flooring and multiple bay windows that bring in natural light. The property also includes a front courtyard, a fenced backyard, and two gated parking spaces.
The backyard is among the larger grassy outdoor spaces in the Venice area, the listing notes, and is designed for indoor-outdoor living. Amenities include an outdoor kitchen, a private sauna and a cold plunge.
Marchese, founder of the fashion brand RESA, purchased the home in 2022 for $1.715 million, according to public records. The property had previously been listed for $1.599 million that same year.
The New York Post first reported that Marchese is selling the home following the opening of RESA’s first retail store on Abbot Kinney Boulevard last year. In comments to the publication, she said the home reflected her personal style, blending vintage decor with modern design elements.
“I am moving simply because I want a change and a little more space,” Marchese told the New York Post, adding that the home has been “an incredibly meaningful canvas” for her creativity.
The listing is held by Trey Alligood of Douglas Elliman.
