Suspect Sought After Hit-and-Run Severely Injures Woman in South LA

The collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Feb. 7 when an unidentified dark-colored vehicle traveling southbound on Broadway from 46th Street hit the woman as she was crossing the street.

Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Traffic Division are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver who fled after striking and severely injuring a woman in her 40s.

The collision occurred around 3:25 a.m. on Feb. 7 when an unidentified dark-colored vehicle traveling southbound on Broadway from 46th Street hit the woman as she was crossing the street, police said. The driver failed to stop or render aid and continued southbound on Broadway.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a hospital, where she was treated for severe injuries.

California law requires drivers involved in a collision to stop, notify emergency services and remain at the scene.

A reward of up to $25,000 is available through the city’s Hit-and-Run Reward Program for information leading to the identification, apprehension and conviction of the driver, or resolution through a civil compromise. The program was established by the Los Angeles City Council in 2015.
